Music has been a constant in Almond Brown’s life for as long as he can remember. A musician since childhood, most Sunday mornings were spent in church, playing drums for the choir, and evenings listening to Earth, Wind, & Fire, Elton John, and the Ohio Players. Today, Almond, is what many call a triple threat: dj’ing for over 20 years, he is equally as comfortable singing, or in the studio writing & producing. As one of Seattle’s most sought after artists, Almond, has residencies at two of the city’s largest dance venues. His sets are an exercise in cross genre flexibility and harmony of funky, vocal and progressive house.
It really depends on the crowd, mood, & energy" There is something for everyone in his sets. 2010 was the launching pad for Almond Brown, as his name became a buzz-word among industry insiders and house music veterans alike, for blending the lines between DJ and producer. Inaya Day, Randy Bettis, and, DJ Mike Cruz, have enlisted his production & remix skills, and inquiries are streaming in for his unique writing & remix style. With a quickly growing list of remixes, re-works, and originals for 2011, DJAB's sets will prove to be a spectacular display of his work for crowds worldwide. “There are so many great things happening. I hope the world is ready for the ride!”
