For P-Luv (aka P!) the love of music started after his departure from high school, two decades later the love is stronger than ever. What started as a nightly affair for one of Vancouver’s top Old-School, Hip-Hop & R&B DJ’s has blossomed into a long-term relationship, one that has taken him to places he never imagined since his departure to Vancouver 18 years ago.

Now known as "The Most Versatile DJ in the 604" P-Luv continues to show audiences that he is much more. P! who is one-half of the dynamic duo known as The Boyscouts, is known around town by almost everybody for his weekly shows across the city at various popular venues, as well as for his unique style of play; scratching and live re-mixing all while keeping it technical but still funky.

“I originally was not prepared to leave Winnipeg, how I made my way over to Vancity was because my family was relocating to Portland,” says P! “The deal that I made with my pops was that if I was willing to leave Winnipeg, he would have to get me a brand new pair of turntables. Now when I look back, I realize it was a blessing in disguise.”

Fresh off a third place finish at the Red Bull Three Styles Nationals in Toronto, P-Luv has begun taking his craft to a different level. “I’ve started making my own remixes and keeping up with my crew, they are all so talented and with that they keep me on my toes,” says P! “We make sure to keep each other inspired, the spirit of competition is still strong within my circle, and I only surround myself with DJ’s that support other DJ’s”

With two decades of experience under his belt P-Luv shows no sign of slowing down, he continues to do what he does best, all while remaining cool, calm and collected.
