M.O.P
M.O.P's Billy Danze and Lil Fame have been shutting down parties since the mid 90's with their hardcore Boom Bap Hip-Hop. The duo first served notice to the world that the Mash Out Posse had arrived when they released their anthem "How About Some Hardcore" and followed it with the DJ Premier assisted remix of "Rugged Neva Smooth". These two singles built the foundation of what M.O.P fans came to expect - hardcore lyrics and rugged beats. Tracks like "Downtown Swinga", "Stick To Ya Gunz", and "World Famous" kept the street buzzing but it wasn't until they released "Ante Up" that M.O.P had a hit record on their hands. "Ante Up" became a club smash. It's that record that shuts the party down. It's one of those records that has classic status across the board. August 23rd Hip-Hop royalty will be in Vancouver for the first time ever! M.O.P and Fortune Sound Club. Bluckka Blow!
