Taking influence from DnB, Metal, and Hip Hop, Excision is a Dubstep artist who must be heard to fully believe. Combining the morphing bass lines of Drum and Bass, the aggressive energy of Metal, and the laid back vibes of hip hop, Excision's style is incomparable.
This young Canadian's passion for music has already driven him to become one of the biggest Dubstep acts of North America. Anyone who has heard a set by this bad boy has walked away feeling energized and refreshed. If your lucky enough to catch a dj set, expect an assault of bass heavy tracks, mixed quickly and seamlessly.
Having done remixes for Pendulum, Noisia, Wu Tang, Freestylers, Ctrl Z, Apex and the mighty label Lifted, it has become apparent that there is a large demand for the dark side of Dubstep. Look out for more of Excision on his labels Rottun Recordings & EX7 Music, and collaborations with Bassnectar, Pendulum, Datsik, Downlink and many more. Following a U.S. & Canada tour in early 2010, watch out for Excision in the UK, Europe Australia, and New Zealand.

If you don’t know Datsik by now, you best be learning. Datsik has been taking the dubstep scene by storm, blowing up dance floors around the globe with his original style of hip-hop future-tech bangers. In 2009 alone, Datsik had over 7 number one releases on Beatport, and vinyl sales through the roof on many other sites such as Chemical Records, Red-Eye and Juno. Aside from that, he has also done remixes for some of the biggest names in the scene such as the Crystal Method, Freestylers, Bassnectar, Noisia, Diplo, the Wu-tang Clan, and Apex from the critically acclaimed Lifted Music label; not to mention countless collaborations with some of the hottest producers in the scene. With multiple anthems under his belt, countless plays from some of the biggest DJ’s, and an endless perseverance to reach that next step, Datsik has proven himself to be one of the best dubstep producers around.

Ever since they started making their first singles in the mid 90’s out of the Bomb Shelter--their congested home studio in Los Angeles, California--Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of The Crystal Method have held strong as forerunners of the electronic music revolution in America. A Grammy nomination; a slot on Linkin Park’s recent monster benefit for their Music For Relief fund; catwalk DJ’s for Rock ‘N Republic’s Fall 2004 Los Angeles Fashion Week show; and “Community Service,” their popular Friday night weekly radio show on Indie 103.1 FM--these are all small parts of what makes up The Crystal Method’s overall recent presence.
For spring 2005 The Crystal Method take to the road to support their new work, the follow-up mix album for the brand the duo have developed that’s dedicated to bringing fans the freshest and most exciting selections in what they love most: break-beat music. Community Service II, released on ULTRA Records/3 AM, offers exclusive remixes by The Crystal Method of songs by The Doors (“Roadhouse Blues”) and New Order (“Bizarre Love Triangle”), plus some of their own original productions (“Kalifornia” featuring Kevin Beber, “Starting Over” [Elite Force remix], “Bound Too Long” [Hyper remix]) and tracks from the duo’s favorite break-beat producers like UNKLE (“Reign”), Evil Nine (“We Have the Energy”), Uberzone (“Octopus”). The New Originals mix of and Smashing Pumpkins (“1979”) is also a highlight.
