Sweet Mics with Sara is an open mic event that gives local musicians and artists an opportunity to polish their swag

Feel free to bring whatever genre or instrument you play. We do provide a guitar and a mic every week. We usually have a couple harmonicas and some djembe drums as well. Sometimes we even have keys and a kit!

Bio

It all started with two girls and a vision.  The founder of the event, Sara C., had the idea to start an open mic at Bar 1, so she contacted her friend Sara D.  to host it. Initially only one musician started and finished the night, but it has now grown to have several musicians perform every week.

This lively event has been going on since the beginning of summer 2010 and has only gotten bigger and better over time.
