Johnny's journey has roots in Seattle, Wash.; Cincinnati, Ohio [WKRP, hence the name] and Vancouver, Canada. Being in the right place at the right time has introduced him to some of Vancouver, Seattle and the worlds' most elite DJs producers & promoters providing him with strong business partnerships, lasting friendships, and earning him the opportunities to play and get into the studio on a world class level. The sound of Sam Demoe is infused with the grit of the big city tempered with the laidback lifestyle of the West coast. What results is a sound that satisfies wallflowers, audiophiles, and weekend warriors alike. From euphoric pop to booming 808 bass music, Sam Demoe can trek over any sonic terrain. If there is a song perfectly fit for party consumption, chances are Sam has it already cued up.
Born in Toronto, Sam Demoe moved to the West Coast at an early age, and was an avid participant in the coasts bubbling eclectic hip-hop scene. He was introduced to DJing as a turntablist, but quickly tapped into his potential as a party rocker. Even as a novice selector, Demoes ability to drop key music bombs at the right time quickly became his calling card. With the help of such Vancouver tastemakers such as DJ Neoteric and U-Tern, Sam Demoe has been reveling on the cutting edge of electronic music, while still retaining his urban demeanor.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Demoe challenged himself even more, recently pitting his skills against the seasoned veterans of Vancouvers DJ scene. Under the scrutiny of his peers and detractors, Sam achieved a major coup for his career, placing third at this years infamous RedBull Thre3Style mixoff.
