Artist Details
Longshanks

From early sets playing indie rock & new wave at Lucky Bar, to his long-running weekly residency at SOLID! Saturdays, Longshanks has made a career out of being able to adapt: from Daft Punk to Bowie to Stevie Wonder, he embraces it all. A devout fan of leftfield electronic artists (Aphex Twin, Autechre, Modeselektor are faves), the recent boom in bass music has allowed Longshanks to direct energy in new realms. At subdivision, Lucky Bar’s newest monthly, Longshanks helms a night dedicated to exposing new electronic sounds through both local & international acts. His recent re-invention as one of Victoria's ambassadors of bass has led to some amazing live performances alongside Flying Lotus, Datsik, Excision, FaltyDL & Hrdvsion among other international performers. Performing live sets using Ableton (incorporating his own productions), Longshanks' live sets traverse a myriad of genres, from 2step to dubstep to live hip-hop remixing.
UFO
WHOA, GRENADE!

Weighing in at 128bpm, we have 'y@' - Producer, Remix-er & all around electro magician. Bringing to the table 132bpm, we have 'Charles King (AKA Sevar)' – this pro-tools certified god is truly a multi-talent. Together they form 'WHOA, GRENADE!' and already, in just a few months, they’ve undeniably brought the noise! Remixing for fine imprints like Nu-Industry Recordings and lining up original releases with the likes Audio Planet Recordings and Dirty Fabric Digital (not to mention getting picked up by Dirty Fabric Management), it goes without saying that they have no plans of stopping there! People are quickly seeing that when they enter a room they better duck for cover, because 'WHOA, GRENADE!' is explosive. They are like a musical Swiss-Army knife; not afraid to fly between Breaks, any genre of House music, or for that matter any other genre they might need to throw down.
Neon Steve

21 year old Neon Steve may be fresh to the game but don't let that fool you when he gets behind the decks. Within the first year of owning a set of turntables steve quickly earned himself a residency at the North island's 1 weekly club night, House ten85. 2 years later, Steve has made the move to Victoria BC and has been spotted sharing the stage with such acts as, Rusko, Boy 8 Bit, The Freestylers, Fort Knox Five, Freq Nasty, Mat The Alien, Ed 209, Will Bailey, Dj Czech, Stickybuds and more. Don't let this guys brightly colored attire camouflage his unique track selection. Geared up with his own personal Edits and Originals, along with a wide array of unreleased bootlegs Steve is prepared to get any dancefloor in a funky bass driven frenzy.
natron

In the seven years Natron has been dj’ing his sound and style has evolved as his fascination and inspiration within electronic music takes new shape and direction. Natron began dj’ing within the sounds of progressive house, drawing motivation from the music being played and produced by Sasha & John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and Shiloh. However, as his interest and passion for electronic music grew over the years so has his musical tastes.
soulfix

Pioneering the electrostep sound, soulfix aka Dirty Politics, delivers smooth electro hooks and nasty dubstep bass to the hottest labels in the industry, even locking down the #1 spot on Dancerecords.com with his debut release.
