This all ages event is free to attend and features an exceptional artist lineup, VEMF Interactive seminars, a beer garde, and much more. We'll keep you rockin' till the early morning as VEMF offers multiple nightclub and after hours events both Sat & Sun night.

Veela
Culminating in the mind of one unusually gifted 17 year old, is the idea of a new pop music. Veela’s unique take on electropop features infectious hooks, potent dance rhythms and alluring lyrics to stunning effect. Driven and focused, she has written,produced and performed every beat, synth, key and vocal of every song herself. Now gearing up to release her debut EP in the Summer of 2010- Prelude – Veela is ready to make waves in the music world. Her original tracks take inspiration from europop, dance, pop, hip hop, rock and even performance art.
Lando
Lando is a Vancouver based house DJ known for his super funky and upbeat sets. After making a name for himself in Vancouver in 2001, he began playing shows all over BC and held down residencies in Whistler, Vancouver , Victoria and Nanaimo. Along the way he has shared the stage with such greats as Inland Knights, Olav Basowski, Antoine Clamaran, Christan Alvarez, Dave Armstrong and Donald Glaude. After his success in BC, Lando moved to the Cayman Islands to take up club residencies at various night spots, and helped create the famous 7 Mile Beach Full Moon Parties in 2004/2005. Most recently Lando was fortunate enough to be one of the Dj's chosen to play in the athletes village for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Since moving back to the westcoast, Lando has taken up producing and has also been keeping stompin' funky house present by consistently bringin' the funk to his dancefloors.
Miss DJ Laela
Fun, passionate, and stunning are just a few words that describe this fresh face on board to the Canadian DJ scene. Beginning her experience through music at a young age, she was able to truly appreciate the many avenues and genres of music. Playing instruments like the piano has only contributed to her ability of picking up detailed skills behind the decks. To most peoples surprise this was a self taught talent, and even more surprising that she has only been dj'ing a couple of years!
Christoph Maitland
As a DJ, Christoph has accomplished a lot over the last ten years. He won the Hush DJ Competition in 2002, held multiple residencies within Victoria(Diesel, Neptune, Hush, Deep) and has shared stages with all the who’s who of the DJ realm. Known for his incredible diversity and energy it is now that he is getting to be known for his production work on a much more global scale. It is on Myagi’s Pop & Lock imprint that Christoph’s unique brand of driving house and breaks call home. Subsequently Christoph has seen his music reach new heights being featured by Annie Nightengale on BBC Radio 1, appearing on Lazy Rich’s label Big Fish Recordings and remixed by the likes of some big name talent including Quadrat Beat, Farace, Robosapiens, Toby Emerson, Run Riot and more.
Jon-E Industry
When asked "What style of music do you play", Jonny can only describe it as "BANGIN SHIT". It's this blend of Electro House, Fidget House, and Breakbeat, that has helped establish his presence in such a short amount of time. Although he had been Promoting and Djing events for several years, it wasn't until late 2007 that he decided it was time to start taking Music Production seriously. After 8 months of dedicated, hard work in the studio, Jonny was asked by Sango Music to remix SanteFe's "Looking Good", which gave him the confidence he needed to start sending demo's to other labels. Within a few short months he had signed with several labels including Cubic, Don't Look, Miles Dyson's Plasmapool Records, earned himself places on the Beatport.com, Trackitdown.net, Junodownload.com's Top 100 Charts and even reached the #1 spot on the Dancerecord.com Top 100!. With so much already happening in 2010, Jonny has no plans of slowing down, with a hectic release schedule and his label Nu Industry Recordings taking the dance industry by storm, all he can do is sit back and enjoy the ride!
W.A.X
In 2002, fresh out of High School came Wes Bain and Xavier Walker. Together they are W.A.X. and represent 12 feet and 300 lbs. of Breakbeat addicted man flesh. With a devoted fan base stretching from Victoria to Port Hardy, they have probably played over 50,000 tunes for 5000 hours to audiences in the past 8 years. They've shared the stage with International stars like Alex Metric, NAPT, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Chase & Status, Treasure Fingers, General Midi, Atomic Hooligan and many more. Feeding off each other like savages, W.A.X are known for their relentless energy, unique and monstrous track selection and their ability to tightly mix genres all over the map while mashing in acapellas. They currently reside at Hush Nightclub every Monday night for "OH GREAT! IT'S MONDAY"... They LOVE Breaks, but they are dipping their toes into other genre's these days.. ;)
