Where else can you dress up as the dudes in the Beastie Boy’s ‘Sabotage’ video, or as a 70s porn star and still wow the ladies? At the Movember 2008 Gala Parté!
Movember is a moustache growing charity that raises money for prostate cancer research. It began in Australia and has taken over Canada, too. At the end of the month – formerly known as November – Mo Bros who have been growing their Mo’s (Aussie slang for moustache) and the Mo Sistas who have been supporting them get together at fabulous dress-up parties across Canada.
This glamorous and groomed Vancouver event is hosted at the Caprice on Movember 27th and will see Hulk Hogan look-a-likes battle it out on the catwalk for their chance to take home the prestigious Man of Movember title. Mo Sistas, dressed to suit their Mo Bro or fancy dress will also be judged, with one Sista crowned Miss Movember.
Come out and support a great cause while enjoying a cool Burgundy – the official drink of Movember 2008 - in honour of the suave stylings of Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy. The evening will feature live video DJ DARYLO bringing the crowd the best of 70s and 80s retro so that you can get down with yo bad self!
