Well i've read some reviews on here about this place and to me the reviewers all seem to have 1 thing in common,. they were either not let in to the club or were asked to leave bacause they were causing trouble. i'v e been going to this place for a long time and NEVER had a problem. The bouncers were all nice and the staff helpful. It seems like the only people who write reviews were the ones who had problems..(the few) too bad the others that love the place (the many) don't write more about it. oh and if the red jacket is so bad..how come they are still around and some others (one, deep) are not?

Gotta love the Red Jacket. One of, if not, THE nicest bar in Victoria. Awesome Thursday night drink specials, killer music on Fridays, and all in all a great general atmosphere. I have never had a problem here, and compared to other bars, it is pretty damn non-violent. The doorstaff does an excellent job of keeping out the dumbasses. Guaranteed to have a good time!!

I am new to Victoria, my friends and I have gone to Red Jacket quite a few times and are yet to be dissapointed. We are treated great everytime and are yet to leave without a newly found female friend on our arm. The staff does a great job and drink prices are great. If you do not have a good time here perhaps the problem may be with you and not the venue.....perhaps you need a pub, or a strip club. Cheers Red Jacket, to a great job! :)

i don't know where all these stories of people not getting in because "they're from vancouver" because i always go with my vancouver friends and no problem! u guys were possibly being loud and drunk, impatient, whatever. i agree that the line holds need to get cut down, but it's a great club and u just have to get down there EARLIER. everyone goes at 11 30, 12, get the picture?

Wow, picking fights with the bouncers isnt a good idea incase yall hadnt realized. The lines are too long for whats inside but its always a blast if you're looking to dance. Its nice to see the staff doing their job, just remember, theyre protecting you so drop the paranoia and introduce yourself, they're people too.

FUN! love the fishies!!!! I like that you ca go into two different rooms and the atmosphere is totally different. You can chill with your friends (and the fish) and talk, or you cna go dance your ass off on the other side!! I think im gonna go there tonight! LOL!!!

the doormen need to change there except the tall guy should stay. Someone needs to tell these people that their not going to stay in business with the way they treat people. Treat one person bad they tell 10 people then they tell 10 people and so on see ya in a year when you need to change ownership
