Although I am a straight, there is one thing about gay men I respect, they know how to party!!! The club is a MUST see (an old church converted into a club). Plenty of places to dance. The music is over the top. I was there for the NY gay pride party and it was intense. If you are in NY, and open minded, this place is a must. One of my favorites.

Too many little kids with fake id's slow down entrance. Place gets pumpin at around 2am the Saturday I went. The trance floor was all Asians that dont dance with non-Asians . The hiphop floor was great until 2:30 when it got overcrowded - too many old balding guys that take the hot babes in the hiphop floor - they shouldnt be allowed in. What saved my night was a random hook up with a one fine girl! Oh Yeah. Think I'll try somewhere else next time

They didn't honor the guest list. I had about 10 people with me and I guess because it rained they decided they could charge whatever they wanted. They tried to charge us $25 a person. The bouncers were rude, so all of us just left and went uptown to China Club

DON'T ORDER THE LONG ISLAND ICE TEA! it had the cheapest liquors in it! instant headache! This place has potential but hasn't reached what it could be. the club itself is huge and has a premium sound system but the lighting is substituted for nothing but strobe lights (some strobes are good but that was all there was) I would go back, but not for $20 a ticket.

avalon sucks the people that work there are dumb they tell u something over the phone but when u arrive there its different. u NEED your state Id 2 get in or else your not allowed in . they swipe your ids and when the bouners search you they grab your ass put there hands btwn ur crotch n r very nasty and rude. the music sucks n the men and women share bathrooms. i have gone there twice and have not been satisfied . the second time i went swiss beatz was there and the lines were long and ppl were going krazi it was so crowded no one was able to dance u had 2 push your way throgh the crowd to pass by and when it came 2 gettin ur coats to 2 leave ppl were pushin skippin the line arguin screamin and fallin that they had 2 get the cops and security 2 help out.
