I liked the bar itself and the music is amazing however I was there for new years and the doors were supposed to be open at 9pm and they didnt open until almost 11 , it was -25 outside and I wasnt even drunk for new years, I was at the back of the crowd so I didnt get any of the champagne at midnight and the guy who picks up the dirty glasses kept yelling at everyone to move out of the way I even helped him at one point putting a couple glasses on his tray and he still yelled at me , I will never again go to orchid for new years if I go at all, I think I will stick with tokyo on sundays or London club , Its crazy to say your not prepared for the club to open an hour and a half late, and it was supposed to be modeled after a new york bar, the only new york item was the statue of liberty, in a new york event it would never have opened that late , there is too much competition to risk that, once word goes out it cant be reversed , I cant imagine many people going next year the crowd waiting in line was not very happy , and the set up to hang little streamers does not take an hour and a half later than expected Im sorry, and then once they opened the bar there was one girl on coat check it was crazy , it definatley seems to me like they did it on purpose to not have to give out as much liquor for the open bar , if you dont want to pay for the drinks dont offer it
