Twisted Element is a great bar to go to if you are a gay male. Gay male only. If you are a lipstick lesbian than you are discriminated because they do not think you are a lesbian, you can not be a lesbian who looks nice,has style, wears hells, wears a purse, and or wears makeup....ect. You will be rejected at the door if thats the case. A place where you should feel comfortable to come out and be free, where you can be yourself is not at all in fact. Twisted element Caters to gay men and only gay men if you are a gay woman you will have to wait in line only to possibly not get in because you do not fit the requirements and you dont have a VIP CARD. I used to like twisted element but i am a lipstick lesbian my wife and i have been married for 4 years like to go out with her but i cant because there are no bars that allow us to be free. I reccomend going if you are a gay male and want to get a vip card from the manager since her gives them out to all males who will take him to the sairway to heaven where sexual favors happen..... but i still have not met a woman who has a VIP Card. Twisted element is a joke in my opion it completly stands against gay women and men who are trying to become accepted by this world.

Its a good venue but the music is some of the worst I have heard at any gay bar. Being Calgary's only gay club (really) its too bad that they can't throw a good party. This is coming from an ex party boy so I have been to many diff clubs/party to base my comments on.

Not a big fan of this place..insiders where real nice but staff was horrible!!! I was not impressed wit them to be honest they were assholes! And I wont ever return

I really don't know why people line up for a block for dis place-- the music's GENERIC, the crowd STEREOTYPICAL... and, it looks like a 'Moxie's' restaurant inside. Boo.

Not a bad club, if your a twinky b**ch boi. I don''t mind going there with my hubby when we''re in Calgary, but it''s really not all that impressive, aside from size and bar service. Play and Buddy''s here in Edmonton beat them down in every category, I think it''s about time that Calgary gets another new gay club!

It was a great time... the old Firewater lounge made into a gay club that is str8 friendly was needed. The music was amazing.... it is a gay bar after all....Very busy and a little smokey but really didn't have to wait for anything.

Good (cuz it's the only gay club in town), but the DJ on Friday/Saturday nights could use some new tracks... he just gets stuck on playing the same songs over and over and over again.
