I have to say. If this and the Great Bear pub are the only choices for nightlife entertainment out here near Metrotown, then I''d rather hop on the skytrain and head d/t. First off, this place is a total hole in the wall. This is nothing fancy, and really, it''s like visiting my friends scuzzball of an apartment. Drinks are decent, bartenders make a decent beverage. Music is ok, it''s all top 40 shit which is ok depends on your taste. Friday nights have a request fest, so you might be able to request a decent tune. The bouncer is a prick, this is the first guy you see on the way in and if he''s a prick, so goodnight to having a goodnight. Also, no bar of that calibre should ever charge a cover, if i''m paying cover it''s for a club that I know I''ll have fun at-don''t expect that here. I''ve been a few times now, there''s a lot I like about the pub. It''s a bar...in the metrotown area, great doubles, and some of the servers are nice (Ivy). However, a rude bouncer, shotty atmosphere, uninspiring crowd, and just nothing unique about it: Skip this, and make the effort for a club or bar d/t
