C restaurant is one of the most progressive and successful restaurant companies in Vancouver. We believe the platform we have created with C restaurant makes us aleader and an innovator for food and service in our city.
C restaurant was designed by a local designer Dominic Smith. Dominic had a challenging room to work with. Industrial in layout, he chose to exploit these elements rather than hide them. The restaurant is open and airy with minimalist decor and dramatic touches. To your right, the floor-to-ceiling windows extend two stories, and will provide you with a view of the parade of joggers and cyclists on the promenade, and the sea-kayakers and ferries beyond, in False Creek.
Also just outside the windows is the Garden Patio. During the summer months, this patio is provided for you to dine al fresco, and as the sun sets beyond the superstructure of Burrard Bridge, you won't be able to think of any place in Canada you'd rather be.
Let's go upstairs, to the Mezzanine Level. It's private and cozy, and lets you overlook the activity of the main floor like a Shakespearean character observing the intrigue. One table provides a view of the garde manger section of the kitchen, if you have an interest in viewing the magic spun from the kitchen. Just beyond, towards the back of the mezzanine, is the Wine Attic. It pays homage to the cellars of old Europe, wallpapered with 350 bottles of fine wines and illuminated by candles. This is a wonderful choice for private dinners for two or groups of up to 16 people, and has become our most popular table for informal business dinner meetings, group celebrations, or media weary celebrities. |
