Venue Description:
The Plaza of Nations was the heart of the 203-acre 1986 World Exposition in Vancouver. Today, it is a unique facility that is home to a diverse range of businesses including the Edgewater Casino. The outdoor covered stage area, known as Edgewater Stage at Plaza of Nations is perfectly suited for a wide range of events including festivals and fairs, outdoor concerts, product launches, corporate and media events, and the property is a favorite of location managers for television and feature film productions.
Set against the backdrop of Vancouver’s distinctive natural beauty, Edgewater Stage has played host to corporate functions, concerts, convocations and cultural festivals. This glass-canopied outdoor amphitheatre, the only one of it’s kind in Western Canada, contains a permanent stage and built in seating for 750 people. Glass walls incorporated into the structure provide unobstructed views of False Creek as well as shelter from the elements.
Venue Statistics:
With the ability to accommodate groups of a few hundred to 10,000 people, Edgewater Stage is a natural site for large-scale events. With an adaptable liquor license, Edgewater Stage at Plaza of Nations can operate as an entirely all ages venue, an all ages venue with a beer garden or a fully licensed venue, giving you the choice of what will suit your event best. For trade shows, conferences or food and liquor shows, Edgewater Stage at Plaza of Nations has plenty of room for your exhibitors to showcase their wares. This venue can host anywhere from a dozen booths, to over 100 booths on both the floor and perimeter ring.

Adjacent to BC Place Stadium and GM Place Stadium, the Plaza of Nations is situated in an area known as the entertainment cornerstone of the Lower Mainland. We are close to the downtown business district, trendy Yaletown, and historical Gastown and Chinatown. Quality hotels are located nearby and we are conveniently accessible by both car and skytrain. Edgewater Stage at Plaza of Nations is versatile and suitable for all events from concerts to festivals to trade shows.
