Portuguese cuisine is closely related to its rich and complex history of sea exploration. A wide variety of seafood matched with the spices and exotic fruit brought over from the East provide the basis for the very old recipes found in Portuguese cuisine.
At Adega (meaning wine cellar), these old recipes and cooking techniques have been borrowed, and matched with modern flavours and other complimentary styles of cuisine. Some dishes need no refining at all and are served in their authentic form. The specialty is seafood, and it is sourced from all over the world: fresh fish from Portugal & Azores Islands, Canadian Maritime Lobster, Norwegian Cod, Tunisian Octopus, Thai Tiger Shrimp, etc. Our daily featured items include fine meats such as Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop and Beef Tenderloin grilled with mediterranean marinades and spices.
Adega's wine list provides a variety of Portuguese wines from the sparkling "Vinho Verde" of the north to the fine reds of the Alentejo region to compliment your dinner. The port wine list offers a selection of tawnies, LBVs and Vintage Ports both by the glass and by the bottle.
Private dining facilities are available along with customized menus for special occasions or corporate functions.
