I haven't been to this place in about a year, but I always liked it's low-key vibe. It's a shame that the smoky atmosphere is gone(I for one never associated bars with being healthy or suiting nuclear families of four).
My band played this venue too, back in the days when I had one. It was always a great room to play. I'm sure that it still is.
It was during a gig at The Cameron, that I met Mike Myers. I'm not sure how much of a regular that Scarborough boy is there. It's always cool to have an opportunity to tell someone one admires, that one appreciates his/her work. Mr. Myers has made me laugh many times.
