The SoFA Lounge, located at 372 south first street in downtown San Jose, is the newest tenant in a space steeped in history. Formerly upstairs at Eulipia, the Ajax Lounge, the Bee-hive, and even the original home of the san jose repertory theater, this location is full of tradition and elegance.
Décor
The SoFA Lounge is a comfortable and sophisticated nightspot that fuses old world architecture with new world elegance. Upon arrival, the nostalgia present from the minimal signage, dimly lit stairwell, and brick archways brings back the speakeasy feel where patrons had to be “in the know” to find the hotspot. Once upstairs, SoFA Lounge guests will find a fusion of early century architecture accompanied by both antique and modern décor, all featuring stylishly simple lines designed for comfort and not flash. The décor was designed to accent the aesthetic architectural gems like the rustic hardwood floor, rich hardwood bar, and original red brick on the south wall; individually charming and collectively classic. In all, the best short description of the SoFA Lounge would be: comfortable elegance.
Service
Service at the SoFA Lounge, much like the décor, will take the guest back to a time when service was supremely important and always came with a smile. Quality space, quality cocktails, and quality service result in a quality experience.

Always striving to provide our guests a little bit more, the SoFA Lounge offers some of the best live and dj entertainment in the bay area. Providing an eclectic mix of sounds that are cutting edge, fresh, new, and intoxicating is our goal. The SoFA Lounge is constantly searching for the best entertainment in the industry from the bay area and beyond.
Services/Events
The SoFA Lounge offers a variety of services for parties from 1 to 300 guests. Along with a fully stocked bar carrying your favorite beer, wine, and sprits; the SoFA Lounge offers specialty cocktails (both classic and creative), champagne, and housemade sangria. Hungry? Your bartender or cocktail server can order from the full menu of Eulipia restaurant, located directly below the SoFA Lounge. The SoFA Lounge is also available for private parties of any type and size. With full food catering available from Eulipia as well, the SoFA Lounge is the perfct spot for your next public, private, or corporate event. If you are more interested in a smaller group there are a number of semi-private seating areas able to accommodate groups from 2 to 12 guests. These areas are reservable with bottle service available and are perfect for gatherings of any type.
