Upon entering bacar, guests are greeted to a view of the three-story "wine wall" that elegantly displays the vast collection of bottles in a glass-fronted cellar. situated in a renovated brick-and-timber warehouse, bacar was designed by zack/de vito architecture and includes arched windows as well as vertical rooftop windows and skylights that lend a soft, warm illumination to the three-level dining space. tall ceilings in the 150-seat dining rooms that range from 19 to 26 feet contribute to the overall airy design, with a balance of warm woods, colorful fabrics and obscured metals to give the restaurant a comfortable and energetic feeling. a 60-seat subterranean wine salon serves as a chic gathering place for guests to sip their way through the abundant selection of wines - more than 65 by the glass - and dine on small plates from a menu created by robbie lewis. on friday through sunday nights, the wine salon also hosts live jazz bands.

Our mezzanine has large arched windows, providing an abundance of natural light, a view of our three story wine wall and curtains, when closed, separate you from the buzz of the main dining room. It seats up to 50 guests and up to 60 for a cocktail reception. A special three, four or five course menu complimented by a unique wine pairing sets the tone for this ideal space in which the loft-like feel provides the ambiance of dining in the restaurant, while having your own open and private space. It is available for parties and luncheons every day of the week.
