A bit tucked into a corner, this Boxed Foods Company installment uses rustic American, European and Asian flavors and a tantalizing view to lure SOMA denizens past its glass walls. Once inside, customers are treated to seasonal dishes and cocktails, thanks to mostly organic produce from farms within 115 miles of San Francisco. Small plates whet the appetite, but with upholstered armchairs and a candlelit stone wall, romantic diners might stay through to Sunday brunch.

The view is worth the effort it will take to find this hidden gem. Head directly across the street from Moscone Center (or kitty-corner from the W hotel) to the second level of Yerba Buena Gardens.

Parking Street parking in the area can be a bear. The closest public lot is the Yerba Buena Garage at the corner of Fifth and Mission streets.

When to Go Wednesday-Friday happy hours from 4pm to 7pm feature drink and appetizer specials and a DJ.
