The Theatre is located in the popular Carlsbad Village commercial area directly across the street from the Coaster Train Station. Free public parking is available at the Coaster Train Station lot (400 spaces) after 6 PM on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday (Non-commuter days/hours). The Village ambiance includes beach front motels, small shops, coffee houses, pubs and a variety of dining opportunities within walking distance of the Theatre.
The Theatre was built in 1927. A major renovation was completed in 2000 (new carpet, drapes, seats, cinema screen, title curtain, stage system & lighting and a custom sound system). Subsequent renovations and upgrades have been made annually to support the variety of uses shown above. A new marquee face was added in 2008. The Theatre auditorium Haas 330 seats and is available on an Event Rental basis. The specific event rental rate is commensurate with the type use, date, day of the weed and time of the Event.
