The Bitter End grew out of a dream of two friends who had to open their own neighborhood bar. Similar to every man alive, two guys wanted to share with friends and family a great bar that would bear their signature. Our desire at The Bitter End is to provide our special friends, a meeting place that is as comfortable as being in their own homes. The End (as we affectionately call it) is the spot for gathering to share life's pleasures, victories, and yes, even its disappointments.
The Bitter End is located in the oldest building in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. This 125 year-old building was remodeled in 1996 and won the award for Best Historic Exterior Renovation. Our three level bar and night club is the only one of its kind in San Diego and has the capacity hold as many as 398 people!
On the main floor of The Bitter End you'll find a sophisticated San Francisco-style bar. The centerpiece of this being the 40-foot mahogany bar. The first floor also features hardwood floors, 20-foot molded ceilings, 4 oversized TVs and a pool table.
Our bar offers everything from beer and wire to premium spirits. You'll be sure to find many favorites on our long list of drinks and if you don't - feel free to experiment with recipes of your own. |
