 Side Bar Description
Side Bar is the culmination of a vision by two lifetime friends. Driven by decades of experience in the bar and restaurant business -- and the desire to couple big-city sophistication with intimate surroundings -- Sidebar’s founders achieved their vision in January 2003.


Housed in a classic Gaslamp brick’n’mortar built in 1882, Side Bar combines post-Victorian cachet with contemporary décor, retro Noguchi furniture with video artwork. Spacious booths and the sidewalk patio provide room for groups, while comfy lounges offer more intimate seating.

Side Bar is so great! I go every Thursday to the "Ruby Thursday" party. The crowd is awesome and the drinks are fabulous. You have the option of getting a bottle service table or you can just go in and chill in the best lounge San Diego has to offer. I would recommend Side Bar to anyone. Also you can't beat being right next to the best pizza in town. After a night of drinking I always want to go to Ciro's and get a few slices. I hope to see you next Thursday.
