comes an elegantly decorated, California and New York style restaurant
located in Providence, Rhode Island's premiere food destination of Historic Federal Hill. Two Forty Two showcases executive Chef Andrew Swain's California inspired cuisine infused with Mediterranean influences, using each season's finest ingredients. Two Forty Two evokes a feeling warmth and comfort with it's beautiful gold banquettes in the front lounge and bar area, candle chandeliers and sconces in the rear dining room. The bar is meticulously covered in mother of pearl and light wood while the hard wood floor creates an exuisite contrast with a dark oak stain. The front area seats 20 with another 12 at the bar and 12 in the cozy lounge chairs which are ideal for specialty martini's and appetizers. The rear dining room seats 45 and can also be used as a private dining facility. The restaurant is open seven nights a week for dinner with a special late night menu served until midnight on weekdays and 1 am Friday ans Saturday. We are located at 242 Atwells Avenue, between Dean Street and DePasquale Avenue, and guests of Two Forty Two are invited to use the restaurant's complimentary valet parking. |
