This place is "interesting" to say the least. If you're under 21, like me, I'd suggest that you definitely bring a friend or 2. There are ppl there of all types and age groups: 18-20 somethings, a drag queen… I mean "gender illusionist," and then you have the older crowd but not too many of those thank GOD! Good music and some décor make the place halfway decent, but as for the ppl who actually show up, I was a bit disappointed. I went for the first time last night, it was a beach-themed night with no cover charge. They played good music and there were a few cute boys, the one bartender looked all cute in his underwear as he scampered around. Now for the important stuff: the dancing and social stuff; the only ppl that were actually on the dance floor were either under 21 or over 30, which was okay but kind of strange. The middle crowd, 21-30, just stayed @ the one long bar, conveniently located behind a wall of gates that looked like the kind you see when a shop front is closed, drinking, talking to each other, and staring @ the ppl on the dance floor. Not once did I see one of them even make a notion that they had the intention of dancing. Now, in spite of the fact that the middle group just stood watching, I had a pretty good time dancing and talking to the ppl not in the “Cage.” I met some kewl guys and gurls and danced with a few hot-Ts. This is a good place for you if you’re new to the club scene like me and you want to see what’s out there for the young gay ppl in Pittsburgh. Honestly, unless you want to go out of town or to one of the other under-21 clubs, Zoo and Fusion, both of which mainly attract straight ppl, this is about it for the young gays, which is kind of sad. The only other thing I can suggest is a fake ID, that’s it.
