I was in town a few weeks ago, and managed to catch the Rob Innes Trio at Java U lounge in Old Montreal. The lounge is very cool, and the staff is drop-dead g, but the band definitely adds life and soul to the place. They manage to sound and look great, AND look like they're enjoying themselves. Definitely worth seeing again.
