Situated in Melbourne’s CBD, tilt__ is a stylish two storey venue. With a late license available Monday through Saturday, it’s the ideal place to hold a party, private function or club event.
Entering on street level, the main bar stretches down a long room to the dance floor. With plenty of modular tables and seating always arranged in a different layout, you could be forgiven for not recognizing the place on your second visit.
The DJ system holds it’s own pumping out the variety of musical styles to which the DJ’s and events lend themselves. Beyond is a small enclosed outdoor courtyard; an escape from the hustling bustle and heat of the dance-floor; a haven for over zealous partygoers to cool off and enjoy some “fresh” air.
Upstairs is the second and more intimate lounge/vip room. It’s walls are curtain draped, the low lighting animated by mirror ball sparks. This smaller bar features the same quality of sound as downstairs and facilitates a full second DJ set-up. Lined with seating it is the ideal place to relax after a full foot workout downstairs.
There are male and female toilets on both floors and tilt__ caters for events holding 20 to 120 people. Both bars feature a broad selection of bottled beers and spirits that are served by friendly ego free bar staff who bounce with the best of them.
The first Friday of every month is MOVE. This hugely successful club event features a host of resident and guest DJ’s spinning funky house and prog hits from yesterday and tomorrow. The first Saturday of every month is INTERVIEW. Another great line-up playing breaks, electro, house and prog. Both events are $8 on the door or $5 guest lists.
