Crash Mansion, a staple in the live music venue and nightclub scene located on the Bowery in New York City, has recently acquired the historic Myron's Ballroom located in downtown Los Angeles. New York feeling left out of the Los Angeles Revitalization program jumps in head first transforming Myron's Ballroom into Crash Mansion L. A. a state of the art live music venue/nightclub bringing a little of the New York Flavor to the downtown scene while respecting the laid back Los Angeles lifestyle. Located at 1024 South Grand Ave on the corner of Olympic and Grand, this 14,000 square foot venue boasts five new/remodeled bars, two stages, and a state of the art sound and lighting systems rivaling any systems in the surrounding venues. Crash Mansion- LA has a total capacity of 1200 guests which will fit nicely in the three distinctive spaces within the facility.
The three rooms are:
The Crash Lounge: A cozy 3,800 square feet lounge with an 8' x 10' foot stage with lighting, full bar, a fully operational kitchen, and plush banquette seating. It is a perfect space for private parties or just to meet up with friends for a casual drink and/or meal. The Crash Lounge will host comedy events, intimate bands, DJs, as well it will be available for private parties and product launches. The music in the Crash Lounge can be piped in from the Main Room or be run totally separately on its own.
The Foyer Gallery: Located between both rooms allows guests at Crash Mansion a quiet respite from the busy club atmosphere. The walls will be adorned with various artworks created by artists from Box Eight Gallery as well as other local artists rotating weekly. This venue not only provides you with a great music atmosphere but also something visually stimulating for those of you who need a little more than just ear candy.
The Main Room: This may not be the prettiest and or most creative of names for such an overpowering space but once you walk into this room you will see why we just called it the plain old Main Room, because there is nothing plain about it. First it's 14' x 32' stage, big enough for any four to five piece band and that's just the chassis when you look under the hood you will see and impressive backline that also rivals those of other venues with a fully digital sound room, next the four full service bars three on the main floor and one in the upper VIP mezzanine. Revamped Point of Sale computers and brand spanking new gun systems for the hipster tatted bartenders providing drinks for all the patrons on the floor and in the banquette seating which are strategically placed throughout the floor like something out of Tetris gone wrong (You have to see it to believe it), also a state of the art lighting system, a VIP mezzanine/green room and over 8,000 square feet of space with 20 foot ceilings. The room has two separate sound systems; one for live music and one for DJs. The live system has over 100,000 watts of power with a fully digital board as well as a full backline and monitor board. The stage and sound system are large enough for national headliners.
