Babalou has changed its look and is now even more of a relaxing spot to fall into after a hard day’s work.
We have added sofa’s, low seating and tables, to enjoy our extensive gourmet bar snacks.
If you're thinking of bringing a party of guests and would like a guaranteed seating area we can reserve booths in the bar from groups of 2 upwards. We also have our beautiful boudoir for up to 10 guests, or our cosy kissing booth for 2 guests (or more if you like!!). There is no charge but please book early to avoid disappointment.
Why not round up your friends, reserve an area, drink and eat your way through the cocktails and delicious bar snacks, then stay on for live music events on a Thursdays and club nights on a Friday and Sat till 5am?

Babalou is situated in the heart of Brixton, set in a Crypt of a converted church. Formerly known as the Bug Bar and now recently refurbished, it features original crypt architecture, North African style lamps, sturdy wooden tables and sumptuous velvet booths. The venue has a capacity of 500 with a 5am licence - South London's premier and newest club/lounge and bar all in one. The venue has recently held the BBC World Music Awards, been used as a film location for the ITV's The Bill and has hosted an Arctic Monkeys aftershow party.
The venue is ideal for corporate events, showcases, filming, photo-shoots, music videos and private parties.
