The SHED born back in 1994 has been a Showcase for the very best in Local and National Underground Bands, tending in the main to Promote Unsigned Up and Coming Groups/Artistes both "Local" and "Out of Town", from all "music genres" Open 6 days a week, we feature between 3 to 5 bands per night , and anything up to 7 bands on our Saturday Matinees. Friday Nights are geared for the 21+ age group, featuring melodic rock and popular blues.
The now well established "SATURDAY MATINEES" (Run by Dawn) aim for the younger crowds (college/school bands). The best Punk, Ska, Metal that is available in the city, leading into more established bands in the Evening Session The"Soundman's Choice"from 8pm

The SHED uses its own independent outside events P.A company" DOJO MEDIA" who also have their own Leicester based recording studios. Quality soundmen on site and the latest in technological sound equipment, ensures that bands get the best Sound and Advice available. We are also a venue that uses a fair payment system to reflect how hard a band has worked to get bodies through the door to their gigs, but at the same time will not discriminate against bands from other parts of the country, that are trying to build a fan base within the Leicester area
Our Policy hopefully reflects that we encourage hard working musicians who because they cannot guarantee a crowd to see them..still have a platform to help them get the exposure needed while they are trying establish a wider following......... Val McCoy
