Founded on the site of a former Victorian Methodist school the Northern Light is the sister venue to The Light in Shoreditch London.

The ground floor is open Tues – Sat from noon until midnight. With a capacity of up to 350 including an internal courtyard, this floor operates as a bar/bistro offering a full bar and an inexpensive European menu as well as staples such as burgers and salads. It is availalbe for private hire (details 0113 2436446)

The first floor is open Thursdays (chic unique) until 2:00 am, and it has a capacity of 600 including a cocktail lounge accommodating 150 complete with balcony views of the courtyard. The main area is a bar / club with its own custom built sound and light system with a fully specified DJ booth.

This floor is open on Friday and Saturday evenings with a 2.00 am license and for student nights on mondays & wednesdays. It is available for hire catering for private parties and corporate events on tuesdays & sundays.
