This place is literally a hideaway, an underground bar that has immense practical value for people looking to temporarily give friends, family and coworkers the slip. It's dark, cozy, and, yeah, a little gloomy for some patrons who realize that draft beer isn't served here. But the reasonable drink prices and the atmosphere--low-pretense, low-maintenance and very blue collar--is enough to smile about.
