Who is Herman?
Herman Roth passed away November 21, 1997 at the age of 91. Herman's son, Allan Roth, runs the place now. Allan started booking musical acts into Herman's in 1982. He is credited with boosting the start of such bands as Big Head Todd & the Monsters, the subdudes, and many others. Alan has made Herman's the premiere nightclub in Denver for new bands on their way to the top. Thanks to Allan you're always guaranteed a good band will be playing whenever you come to Herman's.
How to get tickets (Getting inside)
Tickets may be purchased at the main bar any time Herman's is open. Tix for bigger shows (Bands from out of town) are available thru Ticket Master (Watch out for those service charges). Most local bands give away free tix to their fans. Sign their mailing list(s). Ask at your local record stores for free tix. There may also be free tickets on our Free Tix Page.
When to show up (When to come inside)
Most opening bands start at 9:30, play for an hour, then it takes about 30 min. to get the headline act ready to play at about 11:00. If you want a table get there by 9:00. On the schedules the headline act is written first and the opening act is "with". If there are 3 bands, the first one will begin around 8:00 PM.
Where to Park (outside Herman's)
On the Weekends and bigger shows use the Valets!! Valet parking is free, although it is polite to tip. Otherwise you're on your own for street parking. There's usually open spaces that are OK to use on Broadway on the block South of Herman's (past the hotel).
Don't Park at 7-11!!! They will tow your car, and charge you $100 or more to get it back!!
Please be respectful of our neighbors.
They don't want to hear you yelling late at night and they don't want to pick up your trash.
Would you like people puking on your lawn?
