 Kismet Lounge Description
Kismet is the Turkish word for fate, and as you walk through the door, you know that you are destined to have a night of wonder.


Kismet is the latest addition to the Izmir family -- best known for the founding restaurant, Café Izmir. "We have always wanted a bar that offered cosmopolitan Dallas a place to mingle. We emphasize a place with friendly service and an intimate setting, "says owner Ali Nazary.


Don't be fooled by the quiet exterior, as you step through the doorway of Kismet you are transported to another world. The ceiling is a virtual sky of stars that fills the room with an air of intrigue. The lavish decor is reminiscent of a Moroccan lounge. A DJ sets the groove with world tunes while friends relax on the velvety cushions, and others sip martinis under the soft lamplights wondering what their destiny holds for them tonight.


Sit under the stars, groove to the music and kick back with one of Kismet's specialty drinks -- and let your fate lead you. In addition to the lounge area, the Moroccan theme has been translated to the patio, with divans draped with rich fabrics and cushions, bamboo walls, a fountain and outdoor sound system. A new lounge menu is also being developed. Kismet also has specialty cocktails like the Pomegranate Martini, a cocktail called the Three Fates and frozen pomegranate margaritas to beat the summer heat.


The lounge is open Monday – Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 2 a.m.

I was in this place on Feb. 19th, 2007, my first impression was very good, but at the end the bartender charged one more drink and more expensive than the others, I went with a friend and we drank 4 drinks, but the awful comment from the bartender was that at the first two drinks he helped us with the bill,,,,how could that happen?? the first two drinks were 5 USD per drink and in the other two he charged 3 and in 9.50 USD. That was so bad because I had had a very good impression of this place, if you go there,,,,,please be careful of this guy.
