Cru Cafe & Wine Bar

Cru is Chicago’s version of the European wine bar. Perfectly tucked away in the Gold Coast, next to the Sofitel Hotel and within walking distance of many major hotels, Cru is ideal for an afternoon apéritif or an evening of vino and conversation. Cru has recently remodeled and expanded into a larger space with a full kitchen to serve delicious food in three intimate living and dining rooms, and at a u-shaped bar. Appetizers include the tuna trio—tuna tartare, tuna sashimi and seared sesame-crusted tuna, mussels in white wine, and a spin on chips and dips. A favorite sandwich offering is the Cru Club with lobster and beef tenderloin, while the skirt steak with chipotle orange barbeque sauce with an avocado, orange and red onion salad is a popular summer entrée.
