Situated on Corn Street in the heart of the city centre, the Slug and Lettuce has firmly established itself as one of the most stylish bars in the area. Large comfortable sofa zones contribute to the relaxed and informal feel of the bar.
The Slug and Lettuce suits all occasions, specialising in everything from fast-paced weekday lunches to a relaxed evening dinner and drinks- ideal for meeting friends or colleagues day or night.
Currently running is the Winter menu, with freshly prepared dishes ranging from traditional Fish and Chips with mushy peas to free range Cumberland sausages served with a choice of seasoned mash or sauté potatoes and onions topped with a red onion jus.
A selection of brushettas, flat breads and platters are also served to suit your appetite. There are speciality sandwiches and tortilla wraps too- we heartily recommend the Slug classic aromatic duck served with a rich plum sauce. The Chef prepares fresh daily specials on a weekly basis.
Sunday is “Slug Day” serving a choice of three roasts with a selection of five vegetables, as well as roast potatoes and gravy.
Customer service is something the Slug takes very seriously. Central to this is table service, which offered at all times while food is being served.
The Slug and Lettuce also has areas in the bar suitable for private hire, free of charge, for anything from a business meeting to after work get-togethers. Buffet and set menus are available for these functions. |
