Six Flags St. Louis theme park features more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. Spread across 132-acres, Six Flags St. Louis has eight themed sections - 1904 World's Fair, Gateway to the West, DC Comics Plaza, Looney Tunes Town, Warner Bros. Backlot, Chouteau's Market, Illinois, and Brittania.

The theme park's collection of 50 rides and attractions includes nine exciting roller coasters. New for 2008, Six Flags St. Louis introduces the park's third wooden coaster - Evel Knievel. A year ago, the park added a family, spinning coaster - Tony Hawk's Big Spin.

Also included with park admission is the Hurricane Harbor water park. This 12-acre attraction that operates during the summer offers Six Flags guests a wave pool, seven water slides and an interactive water play area.

Six Flags St. Louis is located 30 minutes southwest of St. Louis off Interstate 44.

The third theme park in the Six Flags chain, the park was built for $55 million and opened on June 5, 1971 under the name Six Flags Over Mid-America. 25 years later in 1996 the park was renamed Six Flags St. ..
