The Academic Public House is the Donnelly Pub Group's welcome addition to the West side. Intimate but not small, the room is a mélange of design ideas - traditional-looking black wainscoted wood walls are punctuated by dark mirrors, neo-futuristic light columns and contemporary fixtures. The trademark Donnelly 'leisure sports' games area also holds a trophy case complete with board games, classic books and modish magazines for those mellower guests. The Academic hosts night-club style events Thursday - Saturday, plays all UFCs, European Football, NHL and NFL games, serves innovative seasonal cocktails and impressive food 7 days a week.
