Toi is named for the mother of owner Max Barthwick. The restaurant was inspired by the many family and friend gatherings of her home on Capitol Hill. It has always been her son's dream to open a Thai restaurant and name it in honor of her. Voted 2002 Best New Restaurant on Evening magazine.
