The North by Northeast Music & Film Festival and Conference is Canada’s #1 showcase for the best new independent music and music-related films. Every June, NXNE fills the streets of downtown Toronto with tens of thousands of fans, performers, and music-biz folks. It’s three events in one—and it’s the year’s most explosive concentration of new and dynamic music, film, and ideas.


The Music Festival showcases over 500 artists at 40 key venues. You’ll find rock, hip hop, punk, blues, country, electronica, singer-songwriter, alternative, reggae, and more. Many NXNE performers hit the fest on their way to international breakthroughs, while other high-profile acts join in to help make NXNE essential and eclectic. It’s a rare chance to catch tomorrow’s major stars at intimate clubs.
